Description
Outperforming the competition, stark varg mx 80hp max speed
Our goal: build the world’s fastest motocross bike which is the stark varg mx 80hp max speed. For the ultimate thrill and to prove electric technology is superior to gas.
With VARG MX 1.2 we take a leap forwards with an upgraded, lighter and more flexible chassis, wiring routed internally in the handlebar, the Arkenstone phone included and most importantly – the 7.2kWh battery giving an 20% increase in capacity.
We keep pushing the boundaries of technology to reshape the future of motorcycling. By building electric motorcycles that outperform traditional technology we will inspire the world to sustainability. Stark VARG 1.2 is easier to ride, requires less maintenance, can be ridden anywhere without disturbing neighbors and outperforms traditional gas bikes.
Fully adjustable power with customizable power curves between 10 and 80 HP – at the tip of your finger.
Stark VARG MX 1.2 (80hp): The Ultimate Electric Predator
Max Speed and Explosive Performance
While motocross is rarely about sustained top-end speed, the 80hp Alpha motor provides the headroom for remarkable velocity when the terrain opens up.
-
Standard Top Speed: In its stock motocross gearing, the VARG MX 1.2 reaches approximately 75 mph (120 km/h).
-
Gearing-Optimized Speed: Because the motor spins up to 14,200 rpm, changing the sprocket ratios for desert racing or flat-track use can push the top speed beyond 90–100 mph (145–160 km/h).
-
Acceleration: The “Alpha” powertrain delivers a 0–60 mph time of just 2.3 to 3.3 seconds. With 978 Nm of torque at the rear wheel, it offers immediate, linear drive that allows you to clear jumps and exits corners with significantly less effort than a combustion bike.
Advanced 1.2 Powertrain and Battery
The “1.2” designation represents the most recent evolution of the VARG platform, focusing on thermal efficiency and extended ride times.
The 80hp Carbon Fiber Sleeve Motor
The motor weighs only 9kg yet produces 30% more peak power than a standard 450cc engine. It features a water-cooled aluminum casing that acts as a structural component of the frame, reducing overall vehicle mass. Through the Arkenstone dash, you can tune this output from a docile 10hp up to the full 80hp “Alpha” mode.
7.2kWh Honeycomb Battery Pack
The updated 1.2 model features a 7.2kWh battery, providing a 20% increase in capacity over the original 6.5kWh unit.
-
Ride Time: Capable of completing a full MXGP-intensity heat or up to 6 hours of trail riding.
-
Charging: Charges in 1–2 hours via a 240V outlet using the integrated 3.3kW charger.
-
Construction: Uses a magnesium honeycomb case for maximum energy density and IP69K-rated waterproofing.
Precision Chassis and Smart Integration
The VARG 1.2 introduced a new high-strength steel alloy frame that is 0.9kg lighter than the original, offering improved “flex” for better rider feedback.
Professional-Grade Hardware
-
Suspension: Outfitted with KYB 48mm closed-cartridge forks and a rear shock with 310mm of travel. Stark is the only manufacturer that allows you to select your specific spring rate (based on your weight) at the time of purchase.
-
Brembo Braking: Features high-performance Brembo calipers and Galfer discs (260mm front / 220mm rear).
-
Weight: Despite the massive battery, the bike weighs a competitive 118kg (260 lbs), with a center of gravity positioned lower than any petrol competitor.
Arkenstone Android Interface
The bike’s “brain” is a military-grade, waterproof Android smartphone mounted to the bars. It offers:
-
100+ Ride Modes: Customize engine braking, virtual flywheel weight, and traction control.
-
Laps Feature: Integrated GPS for real-time lap timing and segment analysis.
-
Connectivity: Over-the-air (OTA) updates ensure the bike’s software and performance algorithms continue to evolve after purchase.
